Birth
is a rite of passage for mothers and
fathers. In this class series, parents are treated as parents,
and not as encyclopedias of birth information. We examine birth from
four perspectives: the mother, the father, the baby and our culture.
Discussion and exploration of several topics help us to walk the
labyrinth of birth in confidence.
These topics, and so many others, are a starting point; where do you want to go from here? These classes are alive, organic and flowing.

These topics, and so many others, are a starting point; where do you want to go from here? These classes are alive, organic and flowing.
These classes look at mothers and fathers in a whole way; not just as a birthing mechanism, but addressing emotional and spiritual aspects of birth as well. In my classes you will learn about birthing in awareness; What does this moment need? The choices we make when we are not in pain can vary greatly from those we would make when faced with unwished for surprises and the pain and exhaustion of labor. You will leave this series with tools to deal with the surprises that arise during your birth, and will serve you as you forge ahead into parenting.

Class Location
My group classes are held in Poulsbo at the WellBeing Center, and at the Poplar Heights Birth Center in Port Orchard, usually. Private classes are held in your home.
Class Materials
All class materials will be provided. Please bring anything that will make you comfortable.
